OUR RESPONSE TOWARDS COVID-19
COVID-19 Message of Support.
We are facing a truly unprecedented situation. The global COVID-19 pandemic is affecting all of our families, our businesses, our communities, and our way of life. We are actively monitoring the situation and its impact across our organization and the communities where we operate. Rest assured that in discharging our responsibilities and obligations, Weststar Aviation Services endeavours to shield our passengers, employees and their family from the spread of COVID-19.
Though we have to operate, we are minimizing the number of employees in our offices. Half of our team members work remotely from home during this time, while the rest are working on rotations. We endeavour to keep the manning level at our operating bases as low as we possibly can so as not to disrupt flying operations. We provide PPEs and sanitizers, we conduct temperature screening, we sanitise our surroundings as much as we can and we sanitize our aircraft after every flight. This is all apart from ensuring that we conduct flying operations safely.
Everyone is or will be affected in one way or another. During these rather worrying times, the safety and well-being of our people, their families and our passengers is our main priority. We also greatly care about our communities and want to do our part to keep you and our employees healthy and help minimize the spread of the virus. This is the time where we put our differences aside. This is the time when we help each other, care for each other and feel for each other.
We thank you for putting the interests of the community and our nation first by complying with the Movement Control Order. We thank you for maintaining appropriate social distance, working at home and practicing the highest standards of hygiene. We also thank our employees for their continuous support in ensuring that our operations are not interrupted by working from home with diligence, discipline and integrity, or by attending to work adhering to the highest COVID-19 protocols and guidelines, so that we may continue to provide the essential services to our Clients.
We are truly grateful and thankful for the selfless, heroic front liners here in Malaysia and around the world who are working tirelessly to care and protect the people in critical times like these. They are the ones who are sacrificing their lives to save ours.
Our hearts and prayers go out to those impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. Our thoughts are especially with those who are sick, to whom we extend our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery. And for those who have lost their loved ones, our deepest condolences for your loss and bereavement.
We are all in this together and we shall overcome.
