Held over three days, the workshop brings together more than 100 participants from various agencies and organizations promoting a widespread discussion among key SAR responders that focused on SAR coordination and communications. Participants that formed a cluster of SAR responders and oil platform operators from East and West Malaysia included the Department of Civil Aviation Malaysia, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, Malaysia Airports Sdn Bhd, Petronas, Carigali HESS, Shell, MAVA, MYMCC and Weststar Aviation Services as a helicopter services provider.
